Just wondered if someone could analyse the
two situations that have arisen in the
past week. Both have carried the
symptoms of hypoglcemia. I am a 19 year
old second year university student.
The first time it happened was on my walk
home from uni. That day I had been
working out in the gym, doing just weights
for around 45 minutes. Immediately after
training I consumed a shake, which
contained 78g of carbs, 44g of protein.
I then went to a 1 hour meeting and walked
home after that. This is when it started
to come on. My symptoms included feeling
faint, light headed, wobbly legs, sweating
and anxious. In the end I had to stop at
the off liscene on the way home to get
some suger (not sure if this helped..).
The second time it happened was after
lacrosse training (cardio). Once again,
after training I consumed the same mix of
complex carbs and protein (i was confused
because I was under the assumption a very
high amount of complex carbs would tide me
over for a few hours, which it didnt).
When walking home I felt the symptoms all
over again and it wasnt very comfortable.
My diet has changed massively over the
past couple of weeks and this may be the
problem. I am on a 'bulking' diet
combined with 4 weights sessions in the
gym, as well as lacrosse training twice a
week. Analysis of my diet, since this
has happened, has shown that I eat very
little fat, good or bad, and also not as
much fruit and veg as i'd like to. Apart
from that I feel my diet is much more
nutritional than the crap I used to eat.
I am eating every 3 hours, 6 times a day.
So im a bit stumped as to the problem.
Any help would be much appreciated. I
have no past medical history with this
condition and neither has my family.
Thanks,

Could be it, or your system may simply not
like the drastic change. You don't need
super shakes to get big, there are plenty
of natural supplements if you really want
to try them, but they're seriously not
necessary. I never used them and lifted
quite a bit, though I decided to cut back
because it's not the main type of exercise
I want anymore. Is there any family
history of diabetes?
