I haven't had any contractions yet but i've sure been getting leg cramps, especially when I get up in the morning. My dr says it's normal (another one of those "normal" things no one tells you about - sheesh!) and its from my baby and my tummy pressing down and slowing circulation to my legs. She says it's a little worse for me cuz i've got such long legs. Anyway, she said I can help it a lot by eating bananas since they've got a lot of potassium and that helps cramps. Good luck!

Ya it sounds like what you got was a braxton hicks contraction, I called my doctor just to make sure they were okay to have and she said yes they are normal, she said that they are a part of prelabor, she said that they are a good opportunity to practise your breathing exercises for when your really in labor
