the Puppy Situatiobn
Posted: 01-21-05 16:50pm

As some of you may know, we got a puppy abt 2 wks ago, last nite we realized he needed to be taken to the vet. This am when I went to take him outof his carrier, he was stiff and dead. I told sami today, and he cried sooo hard... It was heartbreaking, we are getting buster cremated and then sami can keep them until spring and then decide if he wants the ashes buried or in his room. Jim took him to buy a new puppy, we dont get our money back since we forgot to take him to the vet. And we dont have money for anohter puppy, but we caved.

Awh... Well if there was something wrong with the puppy he wasnt suppose to be sold. Also you could still have a procedure done that will give you all details... They have to refund or offer a replacement at least here in va..

Soory for the loss

Aawww, thats so sad. What did you forget to take him to the vet for? I wonder how come he got stiff overnight? You know what, I was watching animal police the other night, and in detroit, if you dont take your animal to the vet, they can actually arrest you...I never knew that. Well they took this dog away from the lady cause she didnt take him to the vet, and they came back and arrested her for animal cruelty. I dont remember what was wrong with the dog, but I think he had got burned with grease in the kitchen. It was sooo sad.

I am not a vet but I have had animals that has died and then go stiff about 3 to 4 hour later. But it does sound strange that your dog died after having him for 2 weeks. There is alot that he could have died from. I would definitly get the tested to see what he died of. (did you buy him at a pet store or from somebody else)

Was you giving the puppy water from the faucet or was you giving it water from a bottle. Because there could have been something in the water that can make a animal sick.

Buster it was a boy... No I didnt get all that close, but my fiance and son did. We replaced it lol we listened to a 4 y/o.

The scary thing is: apricot (kitten) was bought around the time I found out I was pregnant (for the new baby) a few days after having suni my mil-to-be gave him to the humane society. Now the puppy bought for her died... Its scary.

I can't believe your mil just gave your kitten away like that.. That is not a choice for her to make.. Not at all.. Why do mils think they have a right to meddle in their dil's lives? Grrr.
