I feel so fidgety, and I keep pacing about all over the place, I feel so restless.
Ive been up all night, its half 6 am here. And ive cleaned my whole room, I even put the baby bouncer chair thing up, cleaned the crib out, and dressed it propally, and found the instructions and read and "played" with the sterilizer.
Ive had such a problem with sleeping the last few nights, everytime I lay down, 5 mins later I have to get back up to pee, and then it takes me ages to get comfatable again, im thinking of strapping myself to the toilet, and sleeping there.

Im so tired, and im getting so irritable, garry thinks im mad, and keeps joking about buying a catheter(cant spell), I dont think this is funny, and end up going mentle at him.
I cant stand him touching me either, which he is finding frustrating.

Does anyone knwo whats wrong with me? Or at least have tips on helping me be able to sleep. My body pillow dosent even seem to be helping no more.

Well, first of all, how far are you along in the pregnancy? If you are far enough ahead, it doesn't really matter how you lie; you will still be uncomfortable. Are you up and around during the day, being active enough that you actually get tired enough to sleep? Are you eating appropriate meals and not eatingt to much close to bedtime? Are you trying to perhaps drink a little bit less during the evening and completely laying off caffeine (coffee, tea, caffeinated pop, dark chocolate), salty foods and sugary foods? Have you quit smoking?

If all of that simply doesn't work, then benadryl (over-the-counter allergy medication) is safe in pregnancy, especially at the end of the pregnancy, and taking one 25 mg tablet or capsule could make you tired enough to sleep more soundly. But try the "natural" techniques first.

Im 34 weeks 5 days, and your right about being uncomfatable anyway I lay.

Yup im up during the day, im awake now, 10:45am and I only went to bed at 7am. And the amount my boyfriend makes me walk, should be enough to tire an elephant.

Not sure about appropriate meals, but I dont eat that close before I plan on going to sleep.

Its easy "saying" drink less, but I feel so dehydrated just latley. All im eating is ice cubes though, rather than actually drinking a pint or 2 of cold water. I hate tea and coffee, and I dont drink pop. And I dont like dark chocolate, I like white chocolate though. I dont eat too much overly salty or sugary food.

I quit smoking nearly 7 months ago, or it could be over 7 months ago now.. I lost count.

Im allergic to benydryl. And I cant take most over the counter medicine, because of my asthma.

Great, now I just sound like a whinning cow... Sorry steen.

It sounds like good old third trimester sh*t. Sorry girl, you have many weeks to go (not too long, but I know it feels like forever), but this is how it is. I hope you can find something that helps. Steen had some good advice. I think you're nesting too. Your body starts wanting to get prepared for baby cleaning, cooking, organizing all that kind of stuff so everything will be ready when baby gets here.

There is a old wise tell ( I think that is the right wording for that). That you get more fidgety when you get closer to labor. But I am not to sure about it.

Max try sleeping with a heating blanket and a body pillow. Or get a support belt.. When I was that far along with my first child I tried warm showers and warm milk before I tried to go to sleep. Also relaxing music will help. About the drink they say an hour before you go to bed try not to drink as much. Yes that is hard because I always feel like I have cotton mouth or whatever they call it. Good luck

Ok thanx everyone.

I am shattered, so think im gonna have an early night (10:15) or try.

I really hope I go into labour soon. I know its 5 weeks early, but im so fed up with being pregnant.

Ive heard of the "old wives tales" of cleaning and getting fidgety when your coming up to giving birth soon.
But I dont know whether because I know that, im just sub-conciously fooling myself.

Would be easier if I had a date and time on when my baby would arrive.

It's not a myth. Nesting really happens, so hopefully you'll go in a couple weeks.

I agree with the third trimester nesting thing and all, you are all keyed up, your mind and body are all on overtime, worrying and wondering, we see the same 3rd trimester prego's @ the hospital a lot, it was really kind of funny late new years eve to early new years morning, they kept coming in, wanting to have the 1st new year baby, this is pretty normal how you feel, thinking that you might deliver early. I am sure you will be o.K.
The best to you!
Sandy
