Is a Month Too Long After...
Posted: 01-24-05 04:00am

Ok, i've been thinking about miscarriages and reading up on them, and i'm worried that I was pregnant and had a miscarriage but didn't know it. It's too late to see a doctor now and have him be able to tell me something right? I mean, I wouldn't be thinking this if it hadn't been very painful and a lot heavier bleeding than normal.... So I guess i'll never know right? It's probably too late now.... :(

Hcg *could* still be there. But maybe not. I had hcg in my blood for 5 weeks after my second miscarriage.

Sorry hun I just saw your post.

To answer your question the doctor should be able to tell. They can also tell you wether you are post exterior as well. Which means that you are back to pre pregnant stage. It is all told by the uterus size and position also by the cervix thickness and length.

The hcg level stays there for a moment but after you have a baby or mis. It goes back to the normal level with in a couple of days.

And if you are not pregnant then the hcg level will remain in the very lows
i hope I explained a little

Well I had hcg (above 5) in my blood for a long time, I was 13 wks, they checked it for me about 4-5 wks after I miscarried when I was back in the us.

the only time I have ever heard that it stays eleveated is if you are still pregnant or if there are still particles inside you that would make it stay positive
