Hi I take a number of vitamins daily and
have done for a few years. I belive they
work but somebody brought something to my
attention the other day and I don't know
how much truth is in it - maybe someone
cab explain? :-
'vitamin tablets, at the high end of the
arket, contain complex 'conduits' that
allow the actual vitamin to be taken in my
the body. These conduits are the
expensive part of the tablet.
The cheaper ones do not contain the
conduits meaning that the actual vitamin
is burned away by your stomach acid. As
these cheaper versions do indeed contain
the said viatamis, they aren't breaking
trade descriptions etc.'
any thoughts?
Cheers

You want answers and I can see that no one
has offered any advice to your question.
When it comes to vitamins, there are a
number of things to look at. If you are
going to waste money, then you want to
make sure that you are getting your value.
To simply the quote, most of the cheap
store pills don't get absorbed by the
body-only a small portion and the rest is
literally flushed down the toilet.
That's why you will see things as water
soluble, fructose compounding, and a list
of other terms to make you believe that
they are the best on the market. True
they are better than the cheap store
bought pills. I'd said the more
absorbable, the higher the price tag.
I'd much rather opt for a cheaper price
tag, but i'd be wasting my money on
something I wouldn't take consistently and
something that my body is not absorbing
either.
I hope that answered your question about
conduits. It's just merely another means
for absorbability factor.

Honey, that just a fancy way of trying to
get you to pay the extra money for the
same thing. If the cheap vitamins didn't
work or didn't give you the daily
requirements that are listed right on the
package, then they wouldn't be allowed to
sell them and your doctor wouldn't tell
you to take them. The expensive ones are
just there to make money, so don't waste
your money on them. The above poster was
trying to sell her product to you which is
why she was saying all that stuff about it
being worth the extra money, blah blah.
The sales pitch was edited out though, so
you can't tell.
