Bring On the Baby Names!!! Posted: 01-24-05 23:18pm
Alright...I know I am pretty early into my
pregnancy (7wks) but I can't help but
start thinking of baby names already.
There are sooooooo many to choose from
that I think i'm gonna need all of the
time I can get!!!
My baby is going to be biracial (half
white/half black) but that doesn't really
have a huge impact on the name I choose.
I haven't mentioned baby names to my bf
yet so I don't really know what kind of
names he might like but am open to ideas
right now. I really like
non-traditional/unique names but there are
some traditional names I like as well. I
don't want anything too trendy. Of course
I do not know whether this baby is a boy
or a girl yet but I am hoping for a girl
and feel as though it is going to be a
girl...But you never know (probably
wishful thinking)....
My #1 choice for a girl's name is trinity.
I have loved this name for so long! I've
always dreamed of naming my little girl
trinity. Since me and my bf haven't
discussed names yet I am afraid that he
might hate it when I mention it to him and
then I will be soooooooooo dissapointed
since I am in love with the name.
When it comes to boys names I am totally
lost...I don't really have a whole lot of
good ideas b/c i've always pictured myself
having a girl.
So what are your opinions on the name
trinity and what middle names would go
good with it?
What other girl's names do you really
like?
And as far as boy's names I could use all
of the help I can get :)
oh, and another dillemma...What did/are
you do/going to do as far as your baby's
last name? Is it going to have your last
name or the father's?
I am not married but am still with my bf.
We've had alot of bumps in the road (as
far as our relationship goes) and I just
take things with him one day at a time.
Since our relationship is so rocky I don't
really want the baby to have his last
name. I am kind of set on the baby
having my last name unless/until maybe we
get married in the future (and then of
course I would plan on changing the baby's
last name as well). I think my bf will
totally freak when I tell him thats what
my thoughts are. Depending on how things
go (whether or not he signs the birth
certificate/takes legal paternal
responsibility) do you know how that would
work? Even if he signs the birth
certificate does the mother still have a
choice of who's last name the baby will
have or do both parents have to
consent??How does that whole thing
work??
Thanks for your time and help ladies!

Hey just thought I would help as much as I
can..Well when it came 2 me I decided 2
use my bfs last name not mine and we have
a rough relationship to I just wanted him
2 have his dads last name. But my advice
would be if u think u wont be together in
the future use ur last name..My mom told
me that I made a mistake b/c if I decided
2 marry someone else it would be hard 2
change my sons last name..But I dont plan
on..So girl just think about it n talk 2
ur man im sure by 40 weeks u will figure
something out!!And with the birth
certificate u can chose ur babys last name
it doesnt have to be his!!
