I am not sure since they sent me to a
surgeon first. But yes, it has been over
five weeks for me and they are still just
doing more tests. The tests they have done
so far for me: Blood test first,
Ultrasound, Enodoscopy, Colonoscopy, Hida
Scan, Gastric Emptying Scan, and this
Thurs an Upper GI. Phew...it has been a
long couple of weeks. I have not been able
to get any relief so far. Hopefully you
will find relief in a shorter time frame.
Good Luck with everything.

I am hoping they do something soon. I hurt
so much!! I had to call the doctor and
leave a message to get some pain medicine
because I am having trouble sleeping and
just functioning through the day.
My scan is next Thursday and I am crossing
my fingers we get some answers.

I am sorry to hear that, I know your pain.
I haven't really ate a full meal in about
four days so I have been feeling okay,
other than being hungry.

Update Posted: 09-19-07 15:07pm
Just an update on my tests:
Normal Gastric Emptying Test: 60% in 90
Minutes
Normal Upper GI: Unremakable
My doctor is done with me, he has refered
me to a internal medicine specialist. I
have any appointment on the 26th to see
her. I am crossing my fingers that
something is figured out with the new doc.

Hida Scan Is Done Posted: 09-20-07 12:59pm
Well I just returned home from my HIDA
scan The first part went
well then the tech went to talk to the
doctor because it looked like my
gallbladder had disappeared.
Then we did the part with the CCK
injection and that sent me into terrible
pain and nausea. It made my stomach cramp
all up and I hurt up into my shoulder and
back The tech told me
something is definitely not right and that
"we may be on to something" because I
reacted the way they expected someone to
who has gallbladder problems.
I should feel better in a few hours..I
need to go sleep I am hoping this
gives my doctors answers...this test made
me feel like I was dying or having the
mother of all attacks!!

a Quick Update Posted: 10-03-07 08:33am
I have been reffered to a gyno to rule out
anything in that dept. They have mentioned
the possiblity of Endometriosis. If I am
cleared by the gyno they want to take my
gall bladder out.

sometimes it hurts me to swollow, DR
prescribed antibiotics which did nothing
but give me a yeast infection-Have had all
kinds of blood work and CAT scan and
sonogram, which showed nothing except a
low density lesion on my liver, I am soooo
sick of being in pain, also nausea pops in
and out all the time, sensitivity in my
right rib area, and some numbness as well,
it feels like someome stuck a football in
me and I cant get it out-I can only sleep
on my right side??It hurts to bend over
especially-sitting is uncomfortable, and I
dont have insurance anymore so I keep
thinking I am just going to die it seems,
and the doctor of course never looks
worried- :::CRYING:::

Wondering... Posted: 02-08-08 10:38am
Well, I went to my GP yesterday with some
symptoms that She seems to think are GB
related. I'm not so sure though, after
reading your posts. The pain is in the
same area, yes, however I haven't really
had any problems except for some
"palpitation" feelings after I eat fatty
meals. I haven't had an "attack",
however, she did explain that GB disease
is progressive & the "attack's" get
worse over time. It has only been about
two weeks that I've been feeling this
tight, fullness in my torso/side. But for
the past two months I've also been getting
some extreme GERD or Acid Reflux, which
she said is pretty typical of GB issues.
And then also some right sided chest pain
that she said is GB related too. I Have
had a history of Kidney Infections (I say
history, really just in the past year or
so) and I thought it was anther kidney
infection, just more severe. The reason I
even went to my GP over it was because I
had fever, nausea, vomited one time,
absolutely no hunger, & extreme
thirst. That only lasted for a day
though. I am really frustrated over this,
because the pain is there, it's just not
exactly on the 'right side of my belly
button' as most of you have said. I
wonder if not my gb what this could be.
She said if the CT
scan turns up nothing then she'll order
the Hida scan. Blah! Another thing I've
had that somebody else mentioned was the
'hip' pain. I could barely sit up. It
only lasted 3 days or so though. Then
this morning I woke up with some pain in
my lower right quadrant of my stomach,
which my GP said to make sure to monitor,
because it could be my appendix. This is
driving me nuts! I'm only 23, shouldn't
have all this! Blahh! Well, I'll keep
this updated when I can and hopefully
other people will as well. GBY
