It all depends on you and your body. Some people 6 weeks. Some people more or less.

I don't know if it's a myth, but I heard that while you breastfeed you don't have your period. Not sure if it's true though.

I have known people not to have their period while they were nursing. After, I had my 2 girls I have a period it seemed like forever, but then a few weeks later it was normal again.

I've nursed two babies for a year each. With my first baby I got my period after a few months. But with my last one I didn't get it for about 10 months.

Are you on bc? Why wouldn't you think you were pregnant? People have gotten pregnant before ever getting their period post partum. B/c you ovulate first. Anyway, be careful girl. It only takes one time to get preg. Get some bc, use condoms, something.

you are most fertile right after having a baby, not to alarm youeither but it is dangerous to you and the fetus, to get pregnant right away again.

No Period...
:?: I had my son 11 months ago, dec 5th, and I had I period that lasted 2 days in june, and havent had one since. When I had my son, the doctors messed up and thought I was dilated more than I was, and I had to have a c-section bc they gave me drugs to make me have him, and I wasnt ready... Idk if after having a c section if it could make you take longer to get a period... I wasnt planning on having one, so I never found out about it. If anyone knows, please write... Thanks!

Help
I really need advise I wrote before and nobody answered. I went home to visit and ended up having sex with my ex. The last time we had sex I started my period and we used a condom. Also every time before the last we used a condom. When I came back from vacation I slept with my boyfriend (that I am currently with now) unprotected and now I am 5 weeks pregnant. Should I even worry about who the father is?

Period After Pregnancy/breastfeeding
:d here's some medically verified info for you. My doctor guaranteed me that if I breastfeed for the first year after my little one is born then I will not have to worry about getting pregnant in that year. I was told that breast feeding acts as a sort of natural birth control. It's not as effective after that but for the first year i'm safe! Yet another benefit to breast feeding!

For the breastfeeding, yes it can act as b/c but is not exactly guaranteed, i'd still get b/c. I breastfed for about 1 1/2 motnhs and got my period when my son was about 2-2 1/2 months when I went on bc.

Period After Pregnancy
Thanks for the tip. Good info about the back up birth control. I'm just going to rough it because i'm one of those rare people that doesn't respond well to birth control. The hormones in it exacerbate my depression and actually make me worse.
