Q: On Birth Control, Could This Be Implantation Bleeding?

I posted a similar question in another section, but i'm going to post here too because i'm becoming anxious.

I've been on birth control for the past four months, my regular period finished about 15 days ago, had sex about 8 days ago, and yesterday I started with light brown/pinkish mucousy discharge. Could this be implantation bleeding?

I'm not so concerned about the fact that I might be pregnant and I wasn't trying, however, I am concerned about what will happen if I am pregnant and I continue to take the pill until I miss my period...If I miss my period (i was pregnant once before on birth control and had no idea because I had my periods for two months and I finally had a miscarriage in to the third month.) I don't want to stop taking the pill in case i'm not pregnant, but it would be too soon to take a test anyway...

Should I be worried? Will the pill hurt the baby if I am pregnant? What should I do?

I would contact your Dr. And get a blood test done. The pill pack says if you think you are pregnant to stop. So I dont know what to tell you

Thanks, I guess I just wanted to see if a similar situation had ever happened to anyone else. I'll probably wait another two days and then go for a blood test (hcg shows up in blood 10 days after fertilization)

i'd go to my family doctor, but it takes about a month to get an appointment with him, and I didn't want to go to the local walk in clinic because I work for them :p i'll feel awkward going in and telling my boss (the doctor) that I need a pregnancy test, but if i've gotta, i'll do it!
