My mother in an obgyn and she said that it
is extremely common. I know that when I
was in labor my body was going haywire!
It felt as though I was going to explode
because everything was trying to get out
at the same time. Vomiting occurs because
of the pressure and nerves during the
delivery. As for bowel movements, when
you are bareing down, it is the same
reflex as passing a bowel movement, so you
may have them or you may not. I
personally did not poop when I was pushing
cheyenne out, but during the dilation
between 7 and 10 cms, I was throwing up
and had the runs really bad and I had to
have a fluid iv because I was dehydrated
and anytime I would chew on ice chips I
would throw up again, gross I know. But
seriously it is worth it! I have a 4 week
old baby girl and she is worth anything I
have to go through!
