My cousin is 40 years old.
Since spring 2004 he has felt direct
lighting “disturbing”.
In fall 2004 he noticed glares around
street lights (especially white alogen and
yellow ones). During a visit by the
optician, an initial cloudness was found
in both eyes.
He still has today enough capability to
see (10/10 and even more), both near
vision and far vision (he bears spectacles
since he has myopia). The only problem is
glare and a bothering effect when he has a
strong light coming from the high
(sensation of smoke) and directly from car
beams. The right eye seems a bit more
affected than the left one.
In early january the optician told her to
take bendazac lisina directly in the eyes
three times/day), and assuming azyr (an
integrator of vitamin c and e, lutein,
astaxantine and zeaxantine) together with
a vitamin c and orange juice integrator.
He was asked to come back in six months
for control. The optician says there are
chance to stop the development of cataract
since it is the early stage and he is
still young (he also says that there’s 50%
chance of stopping cataract, and 5% of
reversal).
In the prevention and/or reversal of
cataract it seems to me there’s no wide
experience in italy (a lot of surgery, but
poor diet and prevention), so I would be
grateful to you if you can tell me what
you think of such a diagnosys and therapy
(also suggesting alternative possible
prevention approaches, e.G. With
different medical products).
