16 And 6 Weeks Pregnant

I found out just last week that I was
pregnant. Me and my boyfriend took 3
home pregnancy tests and they all came
back positive. I went to the doctors last
week and they only confirmed me being
pregnant. I really dont want to be
pregnant but then agian i'm fine with it.
I just never expected to have a child at
16. I'm also worried about miscarrying
and all the other complications that can
happen especially because i'm a teenager.
Is there anyone on here that is around my
age and pregnant or just recently had a
baby?

year old daughter. I was 15 when I got
pregnant, and honestly honey, at 16 u are
not really a high risk pregnancy. You

Yeah I told my mom and my dad knows too.
My mom knew before I did basically. She
told me that she knew that something was
up because I was so tired and eating more
then usually (because I barely eat). She
isn't mad just disappointed, and that goes
the same with me. But everyone that i've
talked to which is only a couple of people
have told me that its high risk because of
my age and that its more likely that i'll
miscarry or have a still born baby or
something wrong with the baby. Idk :?
Did you drop out of high school?

I went to school til my daughter was a
year old but before I got preggy I really
messed up my school so I dropped out and
got my ged. Look it up on line as to
whether or not ur high risk, if u havent
had any problems with ur reproductive
system u should be fine. And even if u
are high risk just take it easy

Well my mom thinks it'll be better if I
drop out and go to night school. Plus
the school dosent even want me to be there
because when i'm stressed I have anxiety
attacks and they dont want someone there
that can cause then trouble and possibly
sue the school if they do something weong.
I've got a meeting with the school on
thursday to see my options. Plus I
really dont want to be in school with a
stomach.

First off jillian congrats and welcome to
the board. :) my names kris and i'm 23
weeks. I'm a senior and just turned 18
last week.
I know exactly how you feel and so do the
other moms and mommies to be here. I was
17 when I got pregnant right before the
school year started. My baby boy's due
may 30 which is 10 days before graduation,
and I was really nervous about going thru
the school year pregnant. I was nervous
about how people would take it and how
theyd act around me and all, but most
people have really great about it. One
thing about it is you sure find out who
your friends really are, but you also find
out you've got some friends you didn't
really know you had too. I'd say try to
stay in school as long as you can.
Sure, there were kids who just plain acted
ignorant, but they're like that anywayno
matter what. Funny thing is I was most
nervous about throwing up in class (or
even worse in the cafeteria) cuz I had bad
morning sickness. But i'll give you a
tip my mom gave me and that's carry a
baggy with you just in case. With me it
made me feel a lot less nervous and I
found out I didn't need it once the nerves
went away.
Anyway, congrats again and good luck!

Hello! I'm 18 years old (19 in april)
and am 12 weeks 4 days pregnant with my
first child. I'm in my 2nd semester of
college right now. I have been with my
boyfriend for 3 years......My mom was the
same way~not mad, just very disappointed
and hurt....So was my dad. Everything
has started to work out though now, and it
seems like every day I get more and more
excited about this....It's very shocking
at first, but you'll see later on down the
road, that this is a blessing in disguse!!
Good luck hun!! I'm here if you ever
need to talk!!

See the thing is though, I just started a
new high school because we just moved last
year. And so its not like I know too
many people or have too many friends at
school. I have a few select friends like
maybe about 15 but its really only a
couple that I talk to and the ones that I
do talk to moved so I sort of dont want to
stay in school being pregnant because if
someone does say something its not like
i'm going to have any good good friends to
talk to in school you know? And all my
friends from my other school dont even
know that i'm pregnant because I know that
they'll be like oh my god or something
liek that. And their parents wont allow
them to hang out with me. And I can
understand that I guess. So when I do go
to talk to my school i'm hoping that I can
get into night school and then maybe get a
job during the day or something or watch
my baby sister for my mom so that she wont
have to be paying out day care money
especially because my dad (we dont live
with him) lost his job and now me and my
sisters have no health insurance (which
does not help out with me being pregnant
right now) and were really tight on money.
Sooo I dont know.I'll be 17 once I have
the baby. I'm due september 26th which
is a long way off and it is possible that
I might miscarry so who knows. My
boyfriend seems to be really happy at the
fact because hes all looking at baby names
and wants the baby to live at his house,
and so I guess I have it good with that.
With him wanting to be in the babys life a
lot.

Good luck hun!!! I came across a quote
that helps me deal with people who look
down on me...
"never look down on someone unless your
going to help them up..."
