Any Unmedicateds Here
Posted: 02-01-05 14:58pm

When I found out I was pregnant I had to come off almost all of my meds except for an anti depressant. I actually did pretty good for a while, dealing with stress and all, I think I handled things pretty good. I go to my therapist twice a month and I have a skills group once a month.
But lately when I get stressed out I start to get that feeling again like i'm about to go into some sort of episode and also the staticy sounds I use to hear seem to be coming back.
Are there any ones here who have gone unmedicated and have been able to handle themselves when they feel like thier about to have some sort of episode (i don't know how else to describe it) how do you handle hearing things that bug you and how do you get it to stop.
My psychiatrist told me he wants me back on my regular meds once the baby is born. (i'm due march 9th) but I think i've done pretty good handling myself for a long time now and I think I don't want to go back to all of them.
I was just wondering how unmedicateds cope when thier symptons start flairing up again. Like I said i've been doing good except the past couple weeks.

Psychotic Schizophrenia

Heya!! I stopped taking medication for psychotic schizophrenia mid 2003 and I was fine, except a little crazy for about six months until I set fire to a government building and then I was taken to a psychiatric ward and put back on medication.

So, I guess just take it real easy if you're anything like my condition, I heard cold water is good for this type of thing. My mother also recommends breathing exercises and walking. Hope this helps!! Laterz^^
