I an enlarged, palatable lymph on one side
of my neck. It is about the size of a
small marble or large pea. Different
doctors have said it is nothing to worry
about. Can a doctor tell if something is
wrong with an lymph node just by feeling
it?
I have rheumatoid arthritis and have had
the routine blood test that are taken for
that, such as cbc and liver function,
would these test show something
abnormal?
The doctors say it is probably an
infection, but this has been going on
close to a year or more.
I also have chronic sinus problems that
and chronic ear problems. Could that or
the rheumatoid arthritis be the culprit.
Should I press my doctor for more test and
if so what test should I get done.

Do you have swollen lymph nodes at other
parts of your body?
Is this node painful or painless on
touch?
What are the symptoms of chronic ear
infection you are usually experiencing?

lymph nodes in 6 year old children Posted: 07-11-08 21:21pm
i took my daughter to the doctor today and
they said that she had knots in her lymph
nodes and in her arms. She has a slight
kidney infection also. They sent her to do
blood work and xrays and have a specialist
coming in to check her. However I am very
worried. I have 7 kids and sometimes
forgot things that i shouldn't forget or a
normal mother wouldn't forget. My daughter
was sick also in April with a sever ear
infection and cold. she also had knots in
her lymph nodes then. the doctors gave
her an antibiotic and told me to keep
check on the the lymph nodes and if the
knots didn't go away to bring her back. I
can't remember if i checked them or not. I
feel like a failure right now as a mother.
I am so worried that if i didn't check her
then that they never went away and now
have moved to her arm. Has anyone ever
been told that their 6 year old child had
knots in their lymph nodes and arms? how
has the out come been? what should i
expect to happen and should i be worried
like i am? the blood work came back that
she has an infection but wouldn't the
infection show up from her kidney
infection in the blood work. and if so
then the infection from the kidneys
shouldn't make her lymph nodes enlarge
should it? HELP PLEASE I AM SO DESPARATE
RIGHT NOW. I AM BLAMING MYSELF FOR THIS
HAPPENING TO MY DAUGHTER... THANKS FOR ANY
