I'm only young, its so depressing to

Pain in is lower left side(at the bottom
of my stomach)-feels like you need to pass
gas, but doing that doesn't relieve the
pain. I have had this in the past off
& on (did endoscopy-no ulcer). Dr.
Said maybe it was a virus? Anyway it
seems to hurt more when I have a few
alcoholic drinks. I am scheduling a
colonoscopy, as colon cancer runs in the
family. Maybe you should consider
getting one as well? Good luck to the
both of us! |
i have had a pain in my lower left side
just below my ribs for 6 months now, it is
so bad at times that it cripples me and a
curl up and cry, and it usually so bad I
am actually throwing up. I have lost 50
pounds because of it and the doctors have
no clue.What should I do?

Yo.....Just getting over mercury
poisioning is a very common thing most
folks spend 1000's of dollars on gastro
Dr. With no luck...Mercury causes low
level bacterial infections in the sinus
cavity which then drips into ur tummy
causing the same problem......If u have
had many fillings or major denal work...U
may want to look into this...This is
soething I have been dealing with for
years....And know that the herbal medicine
is in my body I feel great...No more
vagina yellow caca in my eyes when I wake
up....No more anxiety..........

I have always been a somewhat sickly
person since I was a child. And it seems
here's just another problem that now as I
get older (almost 22) I realise could
translate into something very very serious
as you age. General localised pain (such
as the bloated, left side pain I currently
also experience on and off...Yes worsened
by alcohol and late nights and stress,
too. ) I have heard can increase your
risk of developing cancerous cells at an
early age. I've been to hundreds of
doctors and natureopaths too and everyone
has just passed me off as a
hypochondriac.
Anyway, my bf just called and told me that
when he used to be on a high protein diet
due to exercising a lot it would hurt his
kidney too. Another thing that
apparently can make it flare up is kidney
beans in particular. They are high in
oxcillates which collect in your kidneys -
maybe thats where they got their name.
He said it would go away by drinking as
much water as humanly possible, avoiding
liquor, and taking a warm bath
hope this helps...I'm off to try it now

i know exactly what you are talking
about!! I have been having the same
pain, kind of in my back and in my
stomach. It gets extreemly bad when I
take deep breths or hicup. It comes of
and on and sometimes it is so bad its hard
to move. I went to the hospital
yesterday morning and had x-rays done.
According to the doctor my bowels are
extreemly backed up. I told him I am not
constipated, but he said it does not
matter. The x-rays show that my bowels
are full. He perscribed a laxative. So
far no changes but I am going to take
another one called citromeg. You can get
this over the counter and aparently it
works really well.
Good luck

Hi, I read the post and wanted to say I
can relate to this. I have been having
pain in my lower left side and some in the
middle lower part. It started after my
cycle did, but not only was my cycle
shorter and less than usual but I have
never had that kind of pain from my
cycle. It is a sharp pain that hurts more
when I get up or lay down , basically when
I move positions but not really when
standing.I also feel like I have alot of
gas . I went the bathroom but still have
the pain and still feel like I have to go
but cant yet.I have been constipated
before but no pain like this. This has
been going on for 2 days now.
I know this is alot of detail , but I
wanted to know if the ones who posted have
found out what was wrong.

I had a pain in my left side towards my
back for a number of years. I went to a
few doctors and one said it was common. I
had tests done and doctors still couldn't
figure it out. The pain never went away
and hurt on different times of the day. I
was the size of a baseball and it even
felt serious. From all the tests done and
my opinion I figured that it was some type
of stomach problem maybe a pre-ulcer of
some type based on me knowing it's common
stomach problems for stressed out people.
I read an article one day that yogurt was
good for the stomach and regions of the
world where they consume a lot of yogurt,
the people have good stomachs. I started
expertimenting with this idea since I had
no other good choice and no one was able
to help me.
Remedy: About a year ago I started to eat
one cup of yogurt a day (with fruit) every
morning and I noticed the pain in my side
went away. I then stopped eating yogurt in
the morning for breakfast and the pain
start up again but I ignored it.
then last week I annoyed my side was
hurting me (even though I got used to it)
and I remembered about my yogurt diet. I
started to eat yogurt again every day this
week and again the pain in my side went
away again, it's almost down to nothing. I
haven't had a pain all week!
The yogurt helped. Don't technically don't
know why since I'm not a doctor (I'm a
programmer) and I don't need to know, I
just want to stop being in pain every day
so I'm passing on my discovery.
A yogurt a day keeps the pain in my side
away.

Hello,
I was having the same pain. Pain scale
out of 1 threw 10 mine was a ten.
So I went to the doctors and they ran some
test and did a mri.
The problem was kidney stones, who would
of guessed. Tremont was some antibiotics
and pain killers.
I would go see a doctor because if you get
an infection it could damage your kidneys.

Pain In Lower Left Side

hi i've been having pains in my lower
abdomen. i think its starts where i had
gotten food poisoning from a salad and
started having pains from there.
it seemed to have gotten better (this was
in july i think). but then in august i
started my period wayyy early and then
about a week after that or so i used the
bathroom one day and immediately after
that i had this pain like up inside of my
colon and in my lower left abdomen. real
bad like a pain that felt kind of like a
muscle pull. so anyway i started having
what felt like gas pains but even after
expelling gas it still hurt. and the pains
would come back in both places the very
low left abdomen like to the left of the
bladder area that low. and up inside my
colon or intestine or something i dont
know exactly. then i had my period (FOR A
SECOND TIME IN AUGUST). I barely am
getting off my period and i have been
thinking about how whatever was wrong is
getting better except i still have a
little sore feeling inside my colon or up
in there somewhere.
BUT today i used the bathroom. I was
feeling fine until after i pooped (for
lack of better word). i was still feeling
fine and then i stood up and then i had
real bad pains this time in the middle and
right side. STill in the upper colon area
also. It was bad pain and I have been
wondering what's going on with me. =\ i
dont know if its related to female
reproductive issues like my ovaries or
what. i just dont want to be in pain or
have something wrong and it get worse.
this has been going on for awhile now and
im starting to think something is going on
that i should see a doctor about. i dont
have insurance so doctor is pretty much
out of the question unless i go to an er
where they will most likely not treat me
and brush me off cause i owe afew
hospitals money for past er visits.
can anyone relate or help? any ideas?
thanks for ur time

pain in my left side

I have had pain in my left side for a
couple months now, sortof on my hip like
right on the side of my body. It is a dull
ache that is just there when it comes and
is really sore. I have noticed that it
seems to be worse after I eat sometimes. I
have been to the doctor, 3 actually! The
one doctor ordered a cat scan for me. From
that they found a cystic lesion on the
tail of my pancreas, So, then that dr.
sent me back to my original dr. and he
ordered me an ultrasound. From there they
sent me to see a surgeon. He had said that
the cyst wasn't very big, no reason to
remove it. They did blood work and checked
me for pancreintitis. Every test came back
normal. NONE of these dr.s have an answer
for me and i'm really starting to get
upset about it!! I don't know what to do
because they act like it is no big deal
when i know that there has to be something
wrong. I've had my tubes tied and also
have had a bladder suspension which I am
still leaking urine all the time and don't
understand why? They also thot at first
that my uterus may be falling but didn't
think so since the pain was more on my
side and not so much in my abdominal area.
I have noticed in the past couple days
that it is stating to move to the front a
little more. I wish I could get some
answers!!!

i am a physical therapist and that sounds
like ur kidney. its a sharp pain on either
the left and right side and through the
back on either side.. u should get that
checked asap! most cases where your kidney
is hurting is because of diabetes or
something related to it.

I have a pressure but not really a pain on
the left back and side below my rib cage.
It went away for a long while but I
started a diet which was nothing but
protein and vegetables. Now the pressure
is back again. It seems to be ok when I'm
at work but the moment I get home and sit
down on my couch it starts to feel like
pressure again. When I lean on that side
it gets painful. Does anyone know what
that is?

Pain on your left side

Pain on your left side is most likely NOT
appendicitis. The appendix is on your
right side.
These symptoms are most likely due to some
disorder of one of your kidneys,
especially if the pain is in your
backside.
