Q: Update partial hysterectomy

I wanted to let everyone know that I went to the Dr. Yesterday. I had asked about the possibility of preg. After partial hysterectomy. I had a partial done over 6 yrs. Ago and for the past few weeks feeling preg. The Dr. Said it was milk leaking from my breast, he done a blood test to check for preg. He also checking some blood test to check the milk production, and a thyroid test. I won't have results back until next thurs. Then he is setting up an ultrasound, and if he can't find anything then, I have to have laproscopic surgery for him to check. I've also been swelling like my hands, and feet. He gave me a prescription for "water pills" to help with my swelling and fluid. So, I still don't know what's going on except for some reason maybe due to preg. I have started producing milk over the past few weeks. When i'm in the shower, my milk really lets down. I'm just so blown away I never thought this was even possible with just 1 ovary and tube. Guess I will have to wait to see the next step next thurs. It does make me kinda sad that if for sure I am preg. That I can not carry the baby and have it.  has anyone else ever experienced this and if so how did it turn out??

I wonder if you could have a surrogate mother carry the baby if you are preg.? Did you have some of the Uterus taken out or is it just the ovary? If all you have in there is one ovary and one fallopian tube (no uterus at all) then you can't be preg. but if there is some uterus still in there it is possible. The ovaries take turns producing the eggs (tho sometimes an ovary wont produce for a while it is still capable), so having only one ovary wont make you completely sterile (unless it is cut off from the uterus and can't allow sperm into the fallopian tube). Hope that helps, good luck!
