When did everyone get their first
ultrasounds? I just had my first prenatal
appointment today and found out I don't
get one til i'm 18 weeks. I'm so sad, I
thought i'd get one earlier...

I've gotten one on my first visit both
times. To confirm the preg and get an
accurate date. If you had a blood test
that may be why you didn't get one.

Some girls get them erlier, it just
depends on your doctor.

i got my first ultrasound at 18 weeks
exacally. I guess it depends when your
doctor wants you to go for one. Usually
by 18 weeks they can see everything. Good
luck :)

Hehe I got mine late... At like, 26
weeks! My baby boy was huuuge. I think
they choose the 18th week cause it's a
good time to see everything about the
baby, I know how impatient you must be (i
sure was), but it'll be awesome when you
get there! Usually they only do an
ultrasound earlier if there's a
possibility of something maybe wrong, so
at least be happy there's none of that :)

You have a point there. I'm glad nothings
wrong that calls for an ultrasound. I had
some spotting last week but she wasn't
concerned and it only lasted a day so i'm
not too worried. I'm just impatient.. I
just want to know that everything's
alright. Anyways, i'll get to see the
baby a week after my birthday! Yay hehe

No, both the bf and I want it to be a
surprise.. But I don't know if I can hold
out that long lol so we'll see. I want a
little girl but would be happy with
either. Just want it to be healthy. For
a boy, we picked out jacob thomas (thomas
after my dad) and if it's a girl, emma
lee. I'm 7 weeks 3 days preggo with my
first.
Congrats on the boy :) I can't wait to get
out of the first trimester. Hehe

did your doctor talk to you about the
prenatest? It's an ultrasound they do to
detect if your baby has downsyndrome
(sorry I can't spell)? They do that test
I believe between 8 and 12 weeks. I had
mine done just so I could see the baby.
They will mention to get a more accurate
reading that they can send your blood to a
private clinic to test... But it costs $.
I just did the ultrasound.... It was
great to see that baby. I live in
quebec, but i'm pretty sure it's the same
across canada.
Call and ask :)

I will be 9 wks and 2 days preggo! She
wants to see how the baby is growing! I
can't wait to see it again! We want a
boy! But either is great! On my first
