Losing Baby Weight

I've been reading a lot of posts talking
about losing the weight and some related
topics, so I wanted to share my
experiences. If you don't gain too much
and don't get stretch marks, you will go
back to very close to your pre-preg
weight. No, there are no stretch mark
creams that work. My friend gained
almost 70 lbs (pre-preg weight like 110)
and she got stretch marks. She is down
to her pre-preg weight, but not tight b/c
of the stretch marks. Her belly is a
little, little jiggly. I have another
friend who gained 60 lbs and didn't get
stretch marks. She is still curvy (not
all weight is gone) but her stomach is
flat.
I gained 23 lbs with my first baby and I
got stretch marks and I went back to
pre-preg. With my second I gained like
25 lbs and got more (idk how) stretch
marks and my body is diff. Weight is the
same, but my body is 'softer' (best way to
put it w/o hurting my own feelings). I
have other friends who weigh the same, but
their bodies are shaped diff. Usually
for the better. If you stay in fairly
good shape during preg you will have no
probs getting pre-preg body. It also has
a lot to do with your body and how it does
during preg regardless of what you do.
Most important ***we make people***. We
make little people. People who will lead
our countries and world. Whenever you
get too wrapped up in how you look, think
of them.

Actually this isn't all true....I've been
doing a lot of working out...I have
stretch marks and everything. I even got
a membership at a gym. I've been using
some tanning creams when I go tanning and
skin tightning creams and I don't seem to
have a problem at all with getting my
belly back....And I have a doing it road
map going on!! :) so you can get that
back to normal more so than you think.
Just thought i'd put in a little input on
that. :) so it doesn't make every one
give u p hope. I know that putting your
body through this for our future is worth
it, but I do care how I look too an i'm
not going to stress over it if I don't go
back to normal. Cause it's just going to
go back to where it is after I get
pregnatn again!! Lol :)

that was the point of my post. You can
very much get 'back to normal'. I just
wanted to shed light on that for the
ladies who have that on their minds.
Like I said if you stay in good shape
while your preg it shouldn't take you long
(maybe a couple months) to lose the baby
weight. Most of it will be gone when you
leave the hospital!

just be careful. I was lucky and
preferred healthier foods. Most of my
friends who have gain a lot of weight say
that they just loved eating and felt like
it was okay b/c they were pregnant. You
can also work out. There are many
pre-natal classes at gyms and rec centers.

It will also help with labor and delivery.
You don't have to take a pre-natal class
either. You could also take like a
swimming class or yoga. You know
something that you like and something
that's safe.

oh I guess I took your post the wrong way
then. I thought that you were saying if
you got stretch marks your skin is too
stretched to go back to normal or
something. :) sorry about that!!

you can't really prevent them. If you're
ging to get them you're going to get them.
I didn't get mine till the last 5 weeks
of the pregnancy!! :( oh well I guess!!
But even if you eat healthy that has
nothing to do with if you're going to
carry the baby out front more or more
towards the back. And even with carring
more towards teh back you can still get
them. I gained a total of 35lbs while
pregnant. And I still got stretch marks.
I also wasn't that big...I was the size
of a 6 month preggy woman when I was full
term!! And yet still got them. Your
skin determines if you get them or not,
not what you eat. :)
