I had surgery, reconstruction with
implant, and have been on tamoxifen for
the past two years. After about six
months, I noticed that I began to bruise
more easily. I have not seen bruising
listed as a side effect, and now question
whether it is the implant or the drugs
that is causing this problem.
Has anyone else taking tamoxifen and or
has had reconstruction with implant,
noticed increase in bruising?

i have been on tamoxifin for 2 years and
just over the last few months I bruise
very easy on my legs,i know that it is
from the pills although my doctors say
no,there wrong ,i know my body. I also
have increased enlarged veins in my legs.
I use witch hazel to help the bruises go
away quicker also I read that as soon as
you get a bruise put ice on it. Good luck

I was on tamoxifen after chemo, 20 years
ago.
I stayed on it for 7 years. Then
bleeding for as long as 17 days made me
tell the Dr. I wanted to quit it.
I was told earlier, that tamoxifen could
cause uterine cancer. Well, I did get it
in 2001. A complete hysterectomy
resulted. I'm fine now.
Even though I was stage 2, with lymph
nodes involved, i've survived a very long
time.
Just do what is suggested but also try to
make some decisions on your own. With
the internet you have so much mor
information than I had.
