The situation-

in the past years I have had problems with my bowl movements being regular and with constipation. In this past week I notice a lot of blood coming out when I poop. I feel like I am constipated but I don't feel any pain different when your constipated.

What could this be?

I will being to the docter soon.

Sounds like you could have ibs-- irritable bowel syndrome... I was diagnosed with that a couple years ago. I've always alternated between loose & hard stools. My mother has this problem as well. I to also started having blood. If it's bright red blood it's can be either from a fissure-- an anal fissure is a tear in the skin around the opening of the anus or could be a hemorrhoid...Either an internal or external one. My mother has had blood as well, but she has polpys in her colon. If your stool is black then the blood is coming from farther up in your digestive system like the stomach or upper intestines...

Hope the dr can help you out...

Almajoy,
there is no cure for ibs. My gastro dr told me to take fiber everyday. It helps some. But I had gallbladder removed in april, due to inflammation, cholesterol polyps & adhesion's. That seemed to be causing more of my problems then the ibs alone, at least it aggravated things in that area.
