Hi, myname is sue. I had a total hysterectomy 10/15/03 - genetic testing. I am having a lot of pain with bowel movement and also swelling in the lower abdomen. Is this normal?

First and probably embarrassing as well but were you given stool softeners or were they recommended ? If not that may be a problem,i had a tah 4 weeks ago and I remember the abdominal pain and was grateful for them.Vicodin will harden stool causing severe abdominal pain especially around the incision.Hope it helps,but if that is not your problem then I suggest you call your doctor.
