I've been taking my birth contol (pills) for about a year and 1/2, im also bulimic but I wont throw up if I have takin my pill already, will throwing up,even if the pill is well in my system, decreaces the effectiveness? Please reply

I'm also bulimic, and taking birth control among other medications. I asked my nurse practitioner if my pills would still be effective considering I am bulimic. She said that as long as I took them an hour to 2 hours before purging, that I would be okay. So, just make sure that you don't purge until a couple hours after you take your birth control. They should still be effective. I wish you luck, and that your bulimia doesn't completely control you. It's hard...Be strong. Peace.
