the problem, of course, is
when this is done for outright deception,
to try to make the zygote, f.Ex., look
like a 2-year-old. Downright deceptive,
downright dishonest attempt at emotional
manipulation. If all you can do is base
your argument on deception, then you
really don't have much of an argument.
Especially when looking at an issue where
the developmental stage *does* matter,
such as is the case in abortion where the
legal and medical issues are highly
dependent on the developmental stage.
In that discussion, trying for deception
and blurring of the facts is downright
dishonest; it is a direct intent to
lie.
where was the lie steen or even the
intent, are you telling me that in everyday
life people call it a fetus?I was not the
one that said it did not matter that was

I always use "fetus" in quotations to be
"politically correct" but to me it's my
son in my tummy.

Political correctness is dead, its memory
lives on in those who do not yet realise
it is dead, but it is!
More and more people are waking up to the
downside of political correctness,
although it was portrayed as a "good"
thing that prevented such things as racism
and homophobia it also prevented free
speach and provoked thought control.. "i
shouldnt think like this my friends dont,
I must think this way instead"
political correctness is a widly accepted
faliure in enlightend circles.

Okay, call a baby a baby and a fetus a
fetus. A fetus is not a baby. Thanks.

oh, goody. You mean
that you didn't know? For one, the fetal
stage involves developing the bodily
structures that were laid down in the
embryonic stage, whereas the baby is born
and merely are growing and maturing.
Actual development is done (other than the
few changes that happens right at birth).
Secondly, the baby maintains homeostasis
on its own, while the fetus is dependent
on the woman to keep its environment
stable. And then there is the issue of
the baby being independently locomotive,
autonomous from the specific person in its
feeding and removal of waste, no longer
being dependent on using a woman's bodily
resources. Those are the big ones

Um, just because someone had an abortion
doesn't mean they should or do feel
guilty. And who are you to judge the
action of others? Are you the almighty
one? Ok then, don't worry about what
other people do/don't do.
And fetus is the scientific/correct term.
It isn't a word that just certain people
use to make them feel better.
