Help My Child Is In Pain
Posted: 02-08-05 12:11pm

My son is 12yrs old. Has been complaining about stomach pains for 2 weeks. 1st I should give u background on him. In dec 2004 we was told he has scoliosis and maybe a defect in lower spine. He goes to specialist on 15th. Then a week later we was told he has a.D.H.D. He now on meds for it. Adderall xr 25 mg 1 time aday. He started complaining about stomach before he started adhd meds. 1st time he said belly felt like it was on fire. I being the mom said heres a tum ..Lol. Then a day or 2 later he started on his adhd meds. Side effects on that meds are not eatting, drinking, not sleeping and of course stomach aches. The dr lowered his meds to 10mg but he still complained about bellyache and said the meds wasnt strong enough. We could tell the 10mg wasnt strong enough too. Hes back on 25mg. So she ordered xrays of his stomach. I have report from radiologoy. ( it reads as follow: abdominal radiographs: supine and upright adbominal radiographs were obtained and demonstrate linear hyperdense/calcific material within the right lower quadrant, which appears to be in the region of the cecum. Scattered hyperdense foci are present within the region of the cecum. This does not definitely have the appearence of an appendicolith, but an appendicolith cannot be excluded. Correlation for a history of prior appendectomy with suture material in the right lower quadrant is recommended. There is no evidence of bowel obstruction. A moderate amount of stool is seen throughout the colon. The osseous structures are unremarkable.) what is wrong with my child? I dont understand this report. And im tired of watchin him cry in pain. His dr hasnt called back and this is going to drive me and everyone at our home crazy. Please help if u can. Thank you
