Daughter Has Pain In Her Side From Running Posted: 02-08-05 17:11pm
My daughter who is 12 yrs old, normal
build, is in basketball. This is her
second year. After she has been running
awhile her right side just above her hip
starts hurting her. It did this last year
also. I've had the same thing happen to
me over the years as well when I have been
running and playing sports. What causes
this and what's it called? My real
concern now is that she gets the pain very
quickly after just a minute or so of light
running. It use to not happen to her
until she had been running for quite
sometime. Any help would be appreciated.

I have that too, but I have no idea what
it is... I went to the doctor.. He said
something about it's normal.. And it
could be bad sleep postures... Like
curling up when you sleep

I get it when I breathe in cold air when
running. I actually read once what it
was and it was minor, but I dont remember
specifically why it occurs. Try googling
it
