My husband (liver transplant receipient
for psc) had an mri done recently to
compare to angiogram results post
transplant 6 months ago.
Can anyone give me a layman's
interpretation of the resluts and
concerns.
Regards the comment on aorta, his dad
suffered and died from an aortic aneurysm
that ruptured.
Findings: focal stenosis at ostium of
celiac axis with a maximum luminal
diameter of 2mm, spanning a distance of
apprx. 8 mm. Mild post stenotic
dilatation. No evidence of other
stenosis. The anastomosis withinn the
hepatic artery related to the prior
transplant is not clearly localized.
Aorta is abnormal in apearance and
calibre. Superiro mesenteric artery is
unremarkable.
Opinion: focal stenosis at origin of
celiac access with approximately 75%
luminal narrowing (short segment stenosis
with mild stenotic dilatation). Not
appreciably changed in comparison with
angiogram in august 04.
