Hi all, hope this time someone can help me here...My 10 weeks old baby gets startled once in a while as if she's falling from a bldg. And wants to grab and hold on to something and when she does, she cries so loud and sometimes don't even breathe, is this normal? Thanks.

I'm sure it's fine. You could ask her doc just to make sure. I know their nervous system is still working out some kinks after their born, but i'm not sure when they stop having the jumps and twitches.

I already asked her pediatrician and he said it is normal but I was not sure if he knows what I was talking about...My baby looks so scared when she gets startled. Thanks anyways for the reply.

Hey hun,

it is normal for some children. My son did this for his first year of life. And every so often when stuff is loud or someone screams he does the same thing. My doc. Said it has something to do with underdevelopment and it will be normal in time. Good luck to you.
