About it being difficult to leave the
fried foods and carbs, but you want to
lose the thighs---if you're going to make
a goal, do it properly... Not half-way.
If you want to be successful, do this
properly.
As for thighs it's probably one of the
easiest places to lose fat on your body as
this is your natural fat reserve.
Before I go into specifics i'll need to
know the basics. Age / height / weight /
body fat % / do you have access to a
formal gym? / do you have access to
fitness equipt. At home?

Hi amanda,
foremost i'd like you to know that I am a
personal trainer and also a nutrition,
health, and wellness specialist. If you
need photos to confirm I know what i'm
talking about, just ask.
There are a few things you must
understand.
1 - as a woman, your fat naturally stores
in your thighs / ass. This is to balance
your centre of gravity and breasts. Guys
naturally have their fat reserve in their
stomach with a more negative centre of
gravity.
2 - if you lose overall weight / fat, your
legs will show this the most and will see
results the quickest.
3 - you will need to consume less calories
than you expend in a day. Change your
diet. This does not mean to eat like a
rabbit.. Only greens. Just eat less
portions per meal, more meals throughout
the day.
4 - cardio should be done on an empty
stomach in the morning. Don't push
yourself too-too hard... Moderate
exercise.. (use that bike you've got)
5 - no meals 2 hours prior to bed time.
6 - if you find these small meals does not
fill you, then drink a glass of water
before every meal.
7 - supplements can help, only if you do
thorough research and utilize them
properly... You will be able to shed
weight safely and quickly. If you are
not going to research and understand
everything thoroughly then do not try
these supplements out. They are:
ephedrine, clenbuterol, synthroid/cytomel,
and caffeine.
Those are the basic rules of thumb.
Follow that and your thighs will reflect
this... Once you've dropped a solid
15-20lb or so then we can focus on using
that bowflex to firm, tighten and develop
those fitness toned legs that all ladies
want.

The reason you should use the bowflex
after you've lost your weight is because
the boxflex will increase your muscle
mass. Muscle weighs more than fat.
So even though your scale says you are
still the same weight, your body fat could
have dropped, and you could have increased
muscle mass. So the scale becomes less
accurate for measuring your goal, unless
you have a body fat & body water
monitor as well.
So remember, if you want to drop 15lb
that's fine... Just know that you will
likely have to drop more like 20-25lb of
fat and gain 5-10lb of muscle using the
bowflex to aid you.
Cramps will only happen if you do a
vigerous workout. You should be doing a
moderate workout, drinking water, and for
a decent period of time. The reason you
want to do cardio on an empty stomach is
quite simple: food is energy. If you
have food in your body, then this being
the most accessable energy source will be
utilized for fueling your cardio workout.
If you have an empty stomach, your body
will have no choice but to catabalize and
break down fat to use as energy instead.

You should note also that as you build
muscle mass, that new muscle will require
more energy to maintain and as a result
raise your metabolism (good stuff!)
i am willing to bet if you perservere in
working out and watching what you eat,
you'll be seeing some good progress in 3
or 4 weeks.
How often are you working out now?

5-6 times a week is awsome. You'll
definately be seeing results.
Usually you just have to get past that 4th
or 5th day mark and it seems to get
easier. It is like your body finally says
"okay" to working out.
Peace out...Side

5-6 times per week is not over training if
you're doing cardio. If you're hitting
the weights to bodybuild, then that's
another story altogether.
As for your lower abs, this will also melt
off as you lower your overall bodyfat...
There is not much use in spot-training
your lower abs at this point.
Good luck!

why do you say
this?
it really should be 3-4 hours prior to bed
time, but from my experiences women have
difficulty doing this and usually feel
starved in the middle of the night and
wake up. 2 hours turns out to be a
reasonable number.
Anyway, when you go to sleep your body
shuts down and expends very little energy.
It goes into "energy saving mode", when
this happens any excess energy (food) in
your body is stored as fat for the
following day. Not eating before bed
time ensures you will not store any fat
throughout the night and will have you
waking up well fasted at which point you
will be prime condition for some
light/moderate cardio to burn off some
more fat that is stored.

I don't know much about fitness and all,
but I think that not eating will slow down
your metabilizim, once you start eating
after not eating for a long time, you will
be gaining a lot more weight, and might
have anerexia, I don't know if not eating
for 2 days really has any effect, but
drink lots of water, and get 8-10 hours of
sleep. I think you should watch your
portion size, get a little more exsersive,
you will get fit, like another person
said, I weigh 120 pounds, I am 16, but
most of my weight is either water and
muscle.
You won't get fat un-less you eat fatty
foods, and not active at all. You will be
gaining more weight once you stick to a
diet (not so much a diet that you loose
weight would be the best.) because muscle
is heavier then fat. If you are seriously
over-weight, or on the verge, maybe you
should ask a doctor or fitness trainer to
help you. Never buy stuff from the
internet, un-less it is a recommed thing.
Once you get healthy, you will feel more
refreshed, I was in ok health about the
time I was 8-12, but ever since then I was
determend to get into a healthy
life-style, I play soccer, and I feel
great!
I am not a fitness expert, so thats
bassically my advice, not much, but it
might help. No ofense, don't listen to
your friends, especially if you feel that
not eating is bad. You need food, your
brain, your body needs food. Don't eat
too much fatty usually, consult a fitness
expert or doctor if you want to get
healthy.

Justin Toronto(JT) great to have you
here.
Why should you not eat 2hrs before sleep?
If you are below your daily calorie intake
budget, would it matter if you at 2hrs
before sleeping??
I have read mixed reports about exercising
on an empty stomach. Why do you say so?
This is for my own self learning. I am not
as educated as you but physical fitness
and nurtition is an interest.
I look forward to your answers, I know I
will benefit.
Thanks.

you definately shouldnt exercise on an
empty stomach. The body during exercising
needs the energy to sustain the required
intensity and duration. On an empty
stomach theres no way you could sustain
your workout. EAT
(not right before though)(and food in
carbs is best)
