People say diff things, certain sites say 26 weeks and others say 28. I too asked my doc and he said 28 weeks. It's ok taz. Soon soon.

I remember some sites said the 2nd trimester starts at 13 and others said 14....I don't think it really matters!!! Lol! You can be whatever you want to be!

That's also what my baby books had - but then remember I am one of them odd english lasses lol
12 wks marked end of 1st, 24 wks marked end of 2nd.
The trimesters are not of equal length, the first is shortest techincally 10 weeks because 2 weeks are added for medical convenience, the 3rd being the longest.

I have found though that some doctors/hospitals etc each have their own take on an "average"

Well dont scare me! Damnit I dont need that bad enough my mom told me a story about how her best friend lost her baby (they were pregnant at the same time due a day apart-my mom was pregnant with me) 6 days or something before her due date! No scaring jess!
