I recently stopped using bc. Before
using bc & while using bc for 4 years,
my periods were very regular. I've
been off for over a month and should have
started my period 5 days ago. Is this
a normal thing to not have a regular
period after stopping bc? I don't want
to rush into thinking I could be pregnant
if this is indeed normal. I this is
not normal, how much longer should I wait
before I do take a pregancy test?

I think it's normal. Your body has to
adjust to not having all those hormones
all the time. You'll probably get your
period in the next week or so. If not,
i'd take a test. Try not to worry about
it too much - that could cause stress and
further delay getting your period. Good
luck!

The question here is-have you had
unprotected sex during the time you were
off the pill?If not,you are probably not
pregnant.If you have,then you should get a
test today,go to the drugstore and take
it!!The sooner you know,the better!Best of
luck!

My husband and I decided it was time to go
off the pill. If we get pregnant, we get
pregnant. My doctor told me that it
usually takes 3 months for the pills to
work their way out of your system. I did
not ask her if my period would not be
regular after going off the pill. If we
get pregnant that is fine. I just
thought there was a longer waiting time
after you go off the pill. I know you
can get pregnant while on the pill but my
husband and I have had unprotected sex for
3+ years while on the pill and nothing
happened during that time.
Mostly, I want to know if after going off
the pill if your periods are irregular for
the first couple of months.

Well, I went to the doctor today and found
out that I am pregnant. It was not
normal to not have a period after going
off bc. I am due in october. My
husband and I are adjusting to this change
in our lives. Thank you for suggestions
to my situation.
