I girlfriend is about a month pregnant, shes in college now. I just moved back with my mom on good terms again, but I don't know how to tell my mom I about to be a dad. What or how should I tell her?

Telling Your Mom Is Not the Pressing Issue?

Vince,

you main concern should be supporting your girlfriend and the baby she is about to have? She is going to carry the baby and may have doubts whether you plan to take responsibility with her?

1. Talk to your girl friend and communicate to determine what you plan to do together. Are you both ready for marriage? Do you plan to give the baby up for adoption? Are you both ready to care for the baby? The first step is you need to be a man and take responsibility for what you are creating.

2. After you and your girlfriend decide what you plan to do, talk to your parents and ask for their wisdom? Hopefully after the initial shock and emotion, hopefully they will support you emotionally and help financially if they can. Your parents know you both as well as you know yourselves. Remember, it is your baby and your responsibility to support it and your girlfriend. Also, this baby did not ask to be born in this situation.

3. Plan to grow up fast. This is not your mom's responsibility. It is time to be the man and take responsibility for your actions.

I have an 18 month old baby boy. My wife and I cannot image our lives without him. He has changed our lives, but in such a selfless way. Children are a blessing. The time, effort, and love you give is the return you will receive from your baby.

I hope what I shared helps you make the best decision for your situation.

Best wishes vince,

tom
