Girls I am so sorry about me going on and
on about my stupid problems.. Ur probably
tired of hearing about them but it makes
me feel better when I type it all out
lol.. So heres the story from this
morning...
I woke up for work today and as I was
walking to the bathroom I had this heavy
feeling in my pelvis, it was like a gut
feeling that after 7 weeks my period was
finally here. I just know the feeling..
So I go the bathroom and sure enough when
I wiped there was a tiny bit of light
blood, nothing like a normal period again.
I was actually happy cuz I had least I
thought I had an anwswer that I wasnt
pregnant although I wanted to be.. Then
as I was getting ready I was having the
most horrible cramps to the point where I
had to lay down, I felt nauseated,
lightheaded.. Sick to my stomach...Well I
got ready somehow and went to the bathroom
again just to check and there was nothing
.. And now 2 hours later.. I still have
come cramps and dont feel good, but no
blood... Isnt that weird? $#&* whats
going on with my body.. Everythings
really started to piss me off lol... I
wish I wasnt having sex so I wouldnt be
worrying about stupid things like
this......

Have you been to the drs? I would really
get into the drs and see if they'll do an
u/s on you to make sure that you're either
pregnant or not pregnant and to make sure
that if you are pregnant that the baby is
okay. Cause you can miscarry and still
not pass anything.....

Have some posts out there with the
complete story..I have tested a few times
and they were all negative and the doctor
refused to geive me a blood test.. I was
suppose to get my period on feb. 3rd and
it didnt come and then today for a few
seconds there was some blood and now
nothing....And the doc said there is no
reason why she needs to see me if my test
is negative and so on....

You know what, as a doctor, I have to say
your doctor sucks. Yes, the oregon
health plan makes it expensive for
physicians to run tests, byt we didn't get
into medicine to make money, or we would
be in banking or something like that.
We are there to help people, and if you
are distressed and worried about whether
you are pregnant, then it is your doctor's
responsibility to help assuring you that
you either are or are not pregnant.
To try to pass that responsibility off on
a commercial, over-the-counter test is
irresponsible, imo.
So go back to your doctor, or insist to
the nurse that you get the test. Unless
that doctor made that otc test, he/she can
not guarantee that it is accurate.
You can tell them (and it would be true),
that if the test turns out to be faulkty
and you are pregnant, but per your
doctor's order act as if you are not, then
any potential harm to the pregnancy or
birth defect outcome is a lawsuit directly
at that doctor.
And your doctor should know this.
Now, did you actually get hold of your
doctor before, or only the nurse? Insist
that the doctor calls you back, don't
accept a brushoff by the nurse, she is not
a physician and does not know the
reliability of the otc test versus a blood
test.
So for your peace of mind, start badgering
your doctor's office until they give you
some kind of reassurance, preferrably
through a blood test.

it depends on your state.

Steen-
wow, ur a doctor?? Thats my lifetime
goal..
But thanks for the message.. It really
helped me. What happened was when I had
my miscarriage in dec. This was a new
doctor ob doctor I saw and at first she
was great..But then when I came for a
follow up appt she was very rude and told
me that I was too young to be even
thinking about having a child that she
does not want to see me pregnant anytime
soon and so on (well she said it in a
nicer way but basically the thought behind
it).. Although she was trying to help me
I felt offended. And last week I called
her because I have no had a period in more
than 7 weeks and I was spotting on and off
so I thought I should make an appt. Well
she asked me some questions and when I
asked for a blood test (since I thought
they were more accuate) she refused even
when I offered to pay for it and im not
even on the medicaid. She basically told
me that urine and blood tests are the same
in accuracy and that if my test is
negative and im feeling ok then she did
not have to see me. Well today I called
again cuz im having cramps and spotting
again and finally she was like ok, come in
on tuesday and ill take a look. It
sounded like she was annoyed and just
wanted to get me off her back. I wish I
could go to someone else its just all the
other ob in my hospital that dont require
3 month waiting time are males and I do
not feel comfortable with male ob
doctors... So yeah I have an appt this
tuesday and she better not be a %$#&*
lol.. So yeah thats my little update,,,
