Got Period, Could I Still Be Pregnant? Posted: 11-03-03 00:16am
My periods have always been 31 days apart
and lasted 7 days since the first time I
ever got my period about 7 years ago. The
last time I got a normal period was sep.
10th. I had sex a few times since then,
(stupidly only once using a condom, and it
broke anyway). On oct. 12 (a day late) I
got what I think was my period, but it was
different. For 3 days it was a little
lighter than normal, then for 2 days I
spotted. Total it was only 5 days. I
read on another website that you can get
your period and still be pregnant... Is
that true? I'm not asking you to tell me
if i'm pregnant or not. I realize I need
to get a test to know for sure, I just
want some opinions on whether you think a
test is really necessary or not.

Hi manderz,
yes it will be necessary to take a
pregnancy test. It is possible to be
bleeding and still be pregnant. You could
be having what is called 'implantation
bleeding', which is when the fertilised
egg is burying itself in the uterus
lining.
Good luck,

Hey im having tha same thing. Its really
light and not too normal. But I think its
still a period. You should take a test.
I might. As soon as I get my money my
sister owes me.Lol. But once like last
year it was light too, but not this light
and it wasnt pregnancy so you might be
fine. Just take a test to make sure, and
make sure youre protected! Or on birth
control.

I just think that you should go and get a
test, you know that no matter what happens
we will forever be praying for you. I
take it that you dont want to be
pregnant?. How old are you? I am sure
that things will work out just the way
that you want them to. Take care of
yourself..

Well you could be, but maybe not. As you
said you will need to test, which you can
any time now. Yes some women get their
periods during their entire pregnancy
even. What you experienced could also be
something called implantation bleeding.
This is bleeding and spotting in a
pregnant woman when the womb attatches
itself to the uterus. I suggest you test
asap to figure things out a little better.
And if you are not pregnant. Use birth
control properly from now on. If condoms
break too often, think of a different
form. Bringing another life into this
world isn't easy or necessary if you don't
want to. Hope this helps and I hope a
test gives you the answer you
need.-mrs.Bosley
