Sami i've been on keppra for about a year now and understand some of the problems you are having. When I take my keppra I get really tired and spaced out for a bit. I also tend to get real thirsty durning the day and first thing in the morning. I take 1000mg morning and night. The other problems you are having might be the epilm reacting with the keppra. You might want to call your doctor as soon as you can. Make sure your drinking lots of fluids the medication isnt very good for you kidneys if your dehydrated.

Hi
I am still new to this epilepsy thing. As it hasnt been apart of me my entire life only just the last 15months I have been diagnosed. I do agree though jb606 it could very well be my epilim doing things to me. But that seemed to be the only medicaion to controll my grand mal seizures. I am just afraid if I mention everything that I will get taken off them and then they will come back again. I really hate them. As of late I havent had a grand mal or a prper partial like grand mal if you know what I mean. When your whole body is shaking and you cant stop it or anything and best ive found out is to not fight it because it only helps it go longer.

Thankyou jb606

this is a new medicine for me its improved my problem but I have problem in contact with people around me and my feeling of me doing thing incorrectly that gives me a very low feeling at the time. I am finding it harder to talk to the wife in that she aggregates me so easily with her discussions. I take 3x 400mg tegretol and 2x keppra 500mg tablet a day one apon my getting up and the other when I getting ready for bed.
I can go either way I may go a week with out going to the toilet the other each day almost by the clock. While I was travelling it was like 3 weeks with almost zero toiletly being needed.

Dear everyone thankyou for your replys.
I was on tegretol cr and I was at 800mg doesage. It made me get mad alot and my aggression was out of controll. I think that you should talk to your dr as soon asap. Get off of it tegretol almost sent me round the twist I didnt know what was real and what was not anymore when I was on it.

This is response to sami, I was on keppra for about three months until I had a huge seizure. Usually my seizures are just spacing out for 15-20 seconds. The keppra wasn't working at all and I was taking 8 pills a day, 4 in the morning and 4 at night plus one other medication and still didn't control them. One day in the morning a little while after I took my medicine I had a seizure where my eyes rolled in the back of my head and I was mumbling and I feel to the ground and scraped myself. It was not good, so if you can, try to change your medicine.
