I Lose My Voice Almost Everyday! Posted: 03-12-05 02:35am
I'll go out with my friends either to a
bar, or to a club. I thought I kept
loosing my voice because I would scream in
the club, but I realised when I just stand
there and have a drink n talk to some one
in the bar , by the end of the night I
would have lost my voice and I can't talk
anymore. The next day and for the next 2
I can't talk properly. It happens so very
often I couldn't take it anymore today and
I burst into tears. I thought
maybe it's be cause of the cigarette smoke
in the bars, but I dont know. I'm not a
smoker either.
Does this happen to anyone else too ??

I believe I know what your problem is
because I had the same trouble. You have
developed bad speech habits and you are
speaking at the wrong pitch. You must
retrain yourself to speak at the proper
pitch. I found Dr. Morton cooper on the
internet and I had a few sessions with
him. He helped me train my voice. You
can find him at voice-doctor.Com

This has been happening for me the past 3
months or so. Everyday I lose my voice.
Monday-sunday, I don't completely lose it,
but its gets raspy and soft. I only drink
and smoke cigs are weekends (maybe 1 or 2
times a week). I have no idea, its
annoying as all hell.

Your voice is just plain worn out. When
you are in a club that you can scream in
like the one you go to, they can be pretty
loud. If you are not screaming and you
are just hanging out with your buddies,
you are probably talking a whole lot
louder than you normally should to get
your buddies to hear you over the other
noise. The strain on your vocal chords is
definitely not healthy for you....and of
course, just like anything else, they will
take a little while to heal (even a couple
days like you said) depending on how badly
you are straining them.
