I have pain in my gums and teeth and
sometimes they feel loose.
I recently went to the dentist and she
said all I needed was a good cleaning. I
cancelled my insurance after I got the
cleaning. Now i'm in pain. What could it
be????

If all your teeth needed was a good
cleaning, then you would not have had any
pain, nor would you have any now. You
need to go to a different dentist and ask
for a thorough evaluation; if you think
your teeth fit "loosely" that could be a
sign of oncoming gum disease with the
possibility of losing your teeth.
Did this dentist take dental x-rays? If
so, get them from her and take them to the
second dentist you see.
Tip: i've been to the dentist every six
months like clockwork since I was a small
child. I've been with the same dentist
since I was 12-13 (i'm 47 now). The
single thing that has made the most
difference in how my teeth feel and how
they look at a dental visit has been the
sonicare electric toothbrush. I know
they're expensive, but if you care about
your teeth, it's worth the money and more.
