Censorship
Posted: 03-14-05 07:44am

[quote=hotasfrickthis forum is the abortion forum. It is for questions regarding abortion, support, etc.

If you are against abortion then don't even post here.
Do not state your opinion unless asked for it, do not judge or start debates. {quote}

you are out of order I do not see any one saying if you believe in abortion then you cannot post in the pregnancy forum,or is this pro choice censorship,i am personally against abortion but have come to realize it is a neccersary evil, but in your mind I should be censored for that

She said that because people who come to the abortion support forum are there becuase they have to or made a hard decision and either regret it for whatever reason or they are about to make the decision and they don't need prolife people telling them that what they are doing is/was selfish and making them feel bad about it. If it's censorship, so be it.

Go look at your spouse's post there. She also agreed that prolife bantering would be detrimental to the support forum and should be left here.

Now, if you want to deliberately undercut her, you certainly can do so, but it sure doesn't seem respectful of her.

would you be happy if the only voice they were allowed to hear was pro lifes,no I don't think so you would complain very loudly, yet you think that they should only hear your side, how easy, how good and how there will not be a single problem at all if they have an abortion,so you want to be able to say what you like in there without being pulled.I dont think that a pregnant woman wants to hear pro choice go on about how easy it is to terminate her pregnancy, but im not saying you lot shouldnt post there,it seems to me bthe only choice you want them to have is your choice, seems a bit biased to me,and hotasfrick said this site was'nt biased.Steen you were crying about izzy doing just that on wisepatient and you liked to pull him on what he said and cried when you were told not to debate in that forum. So your hypocritical whining just makes you look stupid .

The abortion forum is for those who need support in their decision -- whether that is to terminate or not. Someone who is opposed to *all* abortion, and says someone shouldn't have one regardless, is not in a position to offer support.

This is only polite -- otherwise, it would be reasonable for someone to go onto the pregnancy, or especially teen pregnancy forum and start saying: "it's not too late -- you are ruining your life -- you really should have an abortion." "don't you think that four children with three different fathers, none of whom is likely to get a decent education, and the taxpayer supporting all of you, isn't that enough? You really ought to have an abortion." "well, if you are too stupid to realise that having sex without protection could get you pregnant, you are definitely too much of an fool to be a parent." "and by the way, he will not love it when it gets here."

so -- if someone wants support to stay pregnant, they go to the pregnancy forum. If they want support in a decision about not staying pregnant, they go to the abortion forum -- even if they then decide not to terminate. If you want to offer condemnation and holier-than-thou opinions, go polish your halo someplace else.

First of all, that post is what admin wants and rightfully so. This is ehealth a forum for support! It is not a forum to express your opinions on whether someone should or shouldn't have an abortion!
The only reason we even have this forum here (which doesn't fit in with ehealth at all!) is to keep these opinions out of the abortion forum.
A woman needs a place to go for support when considering having an abortion without prolife people calling her names, judging her and making it impossible for her to get info. This forum isn't biased! The abortion forum is allowed to be! Get over it!
If you want to post there giving support for a woman who is having an abortion or giving her info and I mean info, not "facts" made up by some prolife group then go right ahead! The reason it says if you are prolife don't even post here is because there has only been 1 prolife user in the history of ehealth who ever posted in the abortion forum according to the rules. All of the other prolife people posted things that are not productive and are not allowed!
So, it is easier for prolife people to just stay out of that forum. But, if you can be helpful (not trying to talk someone into or out of anything, just supportive of their decision) then feel free to post there. But, don't post what isn't allowed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And please, stop posting about me for goodness sakes. Yeah, I made that post because people wouldn't stop posting what admin did not allow. And stop commenting on how everyone else is making themselves look stupid, because they aren't, but you saying that is making you look pretty petty.

Foreverblue...Why don't you just start posting like an adult?
If you had any respect for anyone then you would stop the insults, name-calling and everything else that is making you look like a child.
And, prochoice people do not kill children. I do not nor do I enjoy killing children. I am prochoice, not a homicidal maniac.

And by the way, your post wouldn't have been deleting for telling steen to "stop stalking your wife" however, it would be deleted for all of the other nonsense you put in your posts. If you want a post to stay in a thread then respect the forum! Is it really that difficult for you to do that?
