Help Fast!!!
Posted: 03-14-05 18:28pm

Hello! I have come accross a huge problem. Today is monday, the 14th, and my wedding is planned for saturday, the 19th. My period was planned to be around the 5th of march but was late (due to what we thought may be a pregnancy). Well after two pregnancy tests this weekend we found out that I am not pregnant and late for some other reason. I am not on any type of birthcontrol until probably next month or so. Our wedding has been planned for quite sometime and around when we thought my period to be. Today I started my period and it's only 5 days until my wedding. Obviously I do not want to be on my period for my wedding night. Is there anything I can do to speed the length of my period? Help!!!

Okay. 4 days in counting...I'm normally on a 7 day cycle. Though it probably is too late, somebody has got to have an idea.

Hi.
Interesting situation there.

First, goodluck with your wedding.

If you have four days counting, that would mean that your period should be gone by saturday atfernoon.

What is your cycle like? That can determine how long your period can go. At what time of the day did you begin your period? How heavy is your flow?

You need to have these answered to find answers.

What you can do for now to have more release, is do regular floor exercises after taking a warm cup of black tea. Preferably herbal tea. Do floor exercises atleast twice a day and massage your lower belly (abdomen) with warm extra virgin oil. However you can use other oils. Massage in circular motions around your belly and then take a brisk walk.

That will get you feel light with less cramps and get the flow heavier which elimianates the blood faster from the system.

However this works well knowing answers to above questions.

However you should also put it in mind that if you and your husband to be have tested for hiv, then you can have sex on 19th march. The flow may be very light and unnoticeable or you could have finished your period by then.

Good luck

Your doctor can give you pills to put your period off for I think ten days or so. So, call your doc asap and explain the situation and he/she can get you the pills you need! Have a great wedding day!

Thank you both so much! By typing four days in counting I actually meant 4 days until my wedding, not days into my period. Sorry about the confusion. To answer your questions, I am normally on my period anywhere from about 5 to 7 days. I started my period monday afternoon, therefore I am obviously hoping for a 5 day period. I'm normally heavier at the beginning and lighter towards the end. My fiance and I have not had sex with anyone but each other so there isn't any need to be tested for anything. I am so so thankful for your advice. I'll try anything I can do. Well i'm off to a cup of tea and a brisk walk. Haha. Thanks again girls. I am so excited about this weekend!

I hope you have a great day! It is very common for brides to get the pills to stop or delay their periods, so your doc wont think you are weird or anything!Lol! Have fun!
