If you don't have a regular cycle, and tend to ovulate late in your cycle, when should you take a hpt. Cause if you ovulate lets say a week before you period is due, then you test when you are a day late it could be too early right??

You always ovulate 14 days before the start of your period. For many women this falls conviently 14 days after the start of their last period... Not all (certainly not me). If your period is late you should get an accurate result.
