Acute Pain In Anterior Area of Elbow
Posted: 03-18-05 08:41am

In the middle of the night,....I suddenly developed a very acute, sharp pain on the anterior 'ball' or 'point' of my elbow.

The pain only occurs with pressure (even slight pressure) to that exact area. I have no pain otherwise,...Have no range of movement paint,...Rotation, wrist rotation while moving elbow is all fine and causes no pain.

Had it 6 days now,........

It has not spread,...And again,...Requires pressure on the area to produce a very sharp acute pain. No soreness or ache at all otherwise.

Any ideas?.....Any treatment??

Sharp Elbow Pain

I have been cruising articles on the internet trying to find a description of the pain I have had for the past week. Your description of the sharp acute pain in the ball of the elbow is
exactly what I am experiencing! Tennis elbow, bursitis, etc.. Doesn't seem to describe what I am experiencing. What is causing it? Did you find out?

How Long Does It Take

Hi there I seem to be having this problem that these other people described. Right now the mere pressure of my 3/4 sleeve blouse is
causing me pain. I tried doing what you said to myself and I think i'm doing it correctly...Cause even though it hurt while I tried it it's feeling a lot less sensitive.... So my questions are..Is this a one time "massage" or do I need to repeat it? Do I need to see a specialist? Am I going to be okay or should I start writing my will?

Hope to hear from you and thanks for your help.

hello all,

if you wish to correct the problem please, visit my web site at: http://ca.Geocities.Com/pai nlessjoe/ . The info and / or technique is for free. It is what is known as a reverse tennis elbow and can be corrected with a special technique of mine. A regular tennis elbow is normally on top but a reverse one is underneath.

I am a special massage therapist which means that I am a massage therapist, a reflexologist, an acupressurist and a dislocated and / or a pinched nerve specialaist.

Good luck

Hey guys, I have the very same problem, right at the tip of my elbow bone, and I went to the doc today and he diagnosed bursitis. He said to take ibuprofen 3 times a day and apply heat. It should go away. If it doesn't, you can get steroid injections for the pain.

I have this, too - for about two weeks. Possibly from leabing on my elbow too much while working? Evobabe, did the ibuprofen & heat work?

Anyone else have any luck?

sharp elbow pain

Are any of you experiencing an almost splinter-like sensation? I'm a metalworker and I was thinking the pain was being caused by a steel sliver. I searched with a magnifying glass and tweezers to no avail. My case sounds the same as one reply above..... I can move my arm freely without pain. But,if I just lightly lean on it or overflex my bicep the pain occurs . The pain is like a needle stick.
