I realy realy need help on making an important decision so plz do not reply unless u are a 100% sure that u are correct...Ok well, if I am through with my pack of birthcontrol pills and then not take the next pack the first week I am suppose to take it after my period. What are the possibilities for me to become pregnant during that week?....B/c I have read many different answers one is that yes b/c an egg can be release within 24 hrs but then I read that no b/c u do not ovulate til after the first month of not taking birthcontrol...So which is it or atleast what is the possibility of becoming pregnant? And if I decide to start taking my birthcontrol the week after I didn't take it will it end my pregnancy since I know that it takes a few days for a fertilized egg to attach itself...I know this is all confusing but i'm realy worried and I need to make a decision fast...

Your chances of becoming pregnant while on the pill is always 1%...As it is only 99% effective....So it can happen...Take a test if you're that concerned....

Extremely eHealthy
The week when you do not take your pills, the progesterone level falls, and the uterus will shed the lining those two things together suppresses ovulation at that time. You are no more likely to become pregnant during that week than you are in the rest of your cycle, as long as you take the pills as directed, don't start them late and are not taking any other medication, supplement or herbal concoctions that suppress the effect of the pill.
