New Here And a Bit Worried Posted: 03-22-05 08:37am
I'm 18 and pregnant with my first baby, a
boy, due in april. I went to my doctors
appointment and they measured me like they
usually do and they said I measure the
same as last week and they need to do an
ultrasound as soon as possible because
they don't think the baby is growing.
This scared the crap out of me....But I
feel like i'm getting bigger all the time
and i'm still gaining 2 or 3 pounds every
two weeks like I should. My shirts feel
like they're getting tighter all the time
so could the doctor just have measured
wrong? My mom thinks that since i'm on
medicaid that they're taking advantage of
it because they did alot of unnesessary
tests throughout my pregnancy and they've
done 4 ultrasounds for no reason. They
also switch doctors on me alot. I go to
an adolesent health center which is
basically there for teenage pregnancy and
such, and I swear i've seen every doctor
that works there except the one they
"assigned" to me on my first visit so I
guess it's possible the doctors just
measure differently and they got my
measurements screwed up! Should I be as
worried as I am over this? I haven't
changed my eating habits at all and I
can't think of anything that might cause
it. Has anyone had the same problem? I'm
driving myself insane over this.

Well I really dont know what to say here
because i'm only 12 w 1d and I just had my
first ultrasound done yesterday and
everything seemed to be fine but about the
whole switching of doctors I know that for
me i've seen only one bu on my next
appointment i'm going to see a new one and
there going to try and make me see all of
them because I dont just have one doctor
that'll dilver my baby its the one that is
on call. So maybe thats what their
trying to do? Anyways I hope that things
work out for you!
