Please Help, Very Worried Posted: 03-23-05 00:00am
My girlfriend had her period on thursday
of last week, heavy, normal, however, by
the saturday of that same week it was
light, and then went away. Now, this
period was also earlier than her usual
cycle by a few days. She had her regular
cramps and everything on thursday and
friday. She claims to be constipated
some, irritable, she says she has swollen
ovaries, gained a few pounds she claims.
What confuses me, is her period came the
same time last month, but went away on the
saturday, and came back on sunday and
finished normally like it would. Could
she be pregnant or is her body changing
cycles or what? Thank you for any help.

Hey bear426, how are you doing?
Here is a list of disease or disorders
associated with irregular periods:
menopause: menstruation is first
irregular, then completly absent. Hot
flushes, chills, sweating, frequent
urination, headaches, giddiness,
palpitation, emotional instabilty,
depression, anxiety, crying jags.
Any combination of the above symptoms and
a few new ones can occur. If symptoms are
severe, a gynecologist should be seen.
Best wishes,

So is there no way that she is pregnant?
I mean, is menopause a severe condition if
the person is only 17 years old? Is that
normal?
