Can There Be Problems Getting Pregnant After Abortion Posted: 03-23-05 03:35am
My sister had an abortion 2 yrs
back.....She dint want to have a baby
then.......The foetus was 20 weeks
old........She did not have any problems
at that time though.......Now she's
planning to get pregnant.......But she's
scared that maybe she will face problems
concieving now becuz of her
history.....Does her fears hold
ground.......Her marital life is
gr8.........The abortion that she had was
not with the consent of her
husband.......She did not let him know
that she was pregnant then.....She fears
that now if shez not able to concieve her
husband will be shattered....Plz help

I don't think she will as long as no
problems came up during the surgery. I
think she is okay just watch for tubal
pregnancies I heard they were more common
if you have had an abortion.

tubes.

Tubal is also know as ectopic and would
require surgery to remove (baby can't grow
there).
If her she didn't have any problems after,
she probably won't have trouble
conceiving. There have been cases where
after abortion the woman was left
infertile.

The risk of infertility after abortion is
neglible and certainly is much less than
after giving birth.

Ladies, please be careful on what you read
about abortion causing infertility and
harm to your body. They are a bunch of
boloney. Yes you may have a complication
but that is rare or if the abortion was
botched. I knew someone who read one of
those websites and got pregnant again
after having an abortion. I find it ironic
how this website was prolife. (my stance
on abortion: I myself wouldn't have an
abortion but its not business if someone
else does)I understand that the agenda may
be to scare off women into not having an
abortion (that's not fair this is
misleading and that clearly may be a
problem like in this case.) but my friend
failed to use protection the second time.
And guess what she had another abortion.
Think about it: on an aspirin bottle they
will say warning may cause you to bleed to
death but how many people do you know
bleed to death from taking an aspirin? In
other words they give you the worse case
scenerio in any medical procedure. Also,
I find it funny how when a women who has a
miscarriage gets a D&C the same
procedure that a girl/women who gets an
abortion some websites indicate that a
D&C actually increases your fertilty.
Hmmmmmm?

first healthy girl.

i had an abortion 1 1/2 ago and i'm now 9
months pregnant i didnt have any trouble
getting pregnant again but then again
every one is different....i was terrfied
when my bf wanted a baby....but everything
is all good
