I've heard of a lot of people which that old wives tale has been true...It was for me...But I guess not for everybody

I thought it was low too, but my doctor didnt say anything.

No its the higher for a girl lower for a boy

the myth can go either way...Reason it's only a myth and you can't go on it!!

i am new to this fourm - I am 8wk and 5days , we had our first sonogram on 3/24 - and the baby's heart rate was 179 bpm. I thought that it was kinda high but they said it was oaky - strong heart beat.

What do you all think - this is my first baby???

my nurse told me that the girls heart rates are usually high, but if a boy is active when you check it, then it can be as high as a girls....So u never know!

Jays heart rate was on average 144 bpm.
When she was overly active it would go up to 160 bpm
abd when she were asleep, it was only 120 bpm.

All my family and friends thought I were having a boy, we were all suprised when I found out I was having a girl.
