I started taking my b/c pills on sunday
like my doctor said. Now the instructions
say take them the sunday after your
period, but I took them 2 sunday's after
my period. Will that have an effect?
Please let me know as I have not gotten my
period yet, and am a little concerned.

Well, i've done a bunch of research on
pills, since I made a mistake of my own!
(see my post under yours...)
from what I can gather, if you start two
sundays after your period your body has
more than likely ovulated. Supposedly
once you take pills 7 days in a row your
body doesn't ovulate, so if you had
unprotected sex before that i'd be
slightly concerned about pregnancy. How
far are you now? Did you miss a period
or anything??
(this is only my opinion though. )

I had protected sex up to 1 day until
before I took the pill. So, yes I had
unprotected sex on saturday.

When did your period start? And when did
you start taking the pill? How many days
did you take it before unprotected sex?

Ok, my last period was february 13th. I
started taking my pills on february 27th,
and had unprotected sex february 26th. I
have not had my period since the 13th of
feb.

To answer your question, yes you messed
up. You are supposed to start the sunday
after your period starts... If you got
your period on a tuesday, you wait until
that sunday to take your first pill... If
your period started on sunday thats when
you start your pills. Pretty simple
really, the instructions should have been
given to you by your doctor and they're in
the little packet you get with the pills.
However, what's done is done, so what you
should do is go get a pregnancy test if
you dont get your period when you finish
up this first month.
P.S. You're supposed to use a back-up
form of birth control (like condoms) for
the first 1-3 months of using the pill.
If you did use condoms or some other
alternative form of birth control (not
pulling out, because that doesn't work)
then you might be a-ok! :p at this
point it's just a waiting game! Hope
everything works out.
