Gotta Go to Tmj Specialist And I'm Not Sure What to Expect.. Posted: 03-29-05 23:49pm
I have no idea what i'm getting myself
into! I even asked for details when I
made the consult visit appointment and
didn't understand one word of the
technical terms/testing that she said I
would have. She made it seem like it
wasn't a big deal though. When I told my
family Dr. That I had an appt. With a
specialist for tmj testing, he said "be
prepared to have your wallet cleaned out!"
he told me insurance doesn't usually cover
tmj. I wouldn't go but I had to see an
ent with my ear and he wants me to go to
see if that's what's making my ears feel
full/pressure. I had tubes put in my ears
but that didn't seem to make a difference
so maybe it is my tmj.
Thanks for any input/advise that you may
have!!!!
