My Period Is Late On Birth Control. Help!!!
Posted: 11-04-03 22:26pm

Heyo,

i'm on tri-cyclen (its my first month on the pill ever). I am 3 days into the sugar pill, and I still haven't gotten my period yet!!! I don't know if something is wrong with me. I know im not pregnant, because I haven't had sex since my last period. Is it healthy for me to miss a period or is something wrong with me? Has this happened to any of you women before? I don't know what to do if I do end up missing my period.

Thanx so much guys, pleeeez help!

Its ok for it to be a few days late. Just wait it out because you know your not pregnant. It should come soon. Is your name nikki too? You put that and for a second there I thought you were asking me something! Haha

Your body is going through alot of changes, and it's normal to be late when you first start the pill, because the hormones are working over time. My period was all out of whack when I first started using the pills. I didn't get it for a while and then I had it off and on for like 3 months straight. Everyone is different. Your body will adjust and straighten itself out the longer you take the pill. If you haven't had sex since last month then you shouldnt have anything to worry about. I have been on and off the pill for 5 years now, and everytime I stop it or start a different kind, it messes my system up, so I think that you will be fine Smile ~ janel
