Q: Migranes And Birth Control

I am 25 yrs old and I am a mother of a 11month old I am on a birth control called mirena every time I ovulate I get a migrane for 3-4 days and it is so severe that I dont eat or keep anything down what I fear is that if im on this birth control will the headaches decrease or increase cause of my hormones I often ask my self how important is this birth control and how can I make myself realize that I have to deal with these headaches.. It also baffels me that I have a 3 day period and then im fine for a whole week and when I ovulate I get a severe to penetrating migrane please some one help me I am in need of encouragement and understanding :(

A side effect of bc is head aches so it could increase it or have no effect at all. You could talk to your dr about it and see what they have to say. If the bc does cause them to be worse they have pills with less hormones in them.
